ArtSpireVa: Dancers to Preview The Nutcracker Ballet
ArtSpireVa was founded by Gennifer Difilippo who, years ago, experienced an urgent realization: too many young people were being left out of the arts due to lack of access. At ArtSpireVa, they believe the arts have the power to uplift, connect, and transform lives. It is our privilege to partner with ArtspireVa and present an evening of dance at Nepenthe Gallery!

Father-Daughter Artists: Mehran and Ava Rashidfarokhy
What a joy to see two generations thriving as creatives and clearly blending experiences and styles with one other. We have represented Mehran Rashidfarokhy and his artworks for years and we always love to see his latest works! Born in Iran, he learned how to paint from his professional artist uncles in Munich. Mehran moved to Alexandria, VA to continue his career as an artist and raise his family. We are delighted that he will introduce his daughter Ava and her original artworks.

Nepenthe Gallery Train Village Unveiling
We engaged talented and enthusiastic art students from Alexandria High School and George Mason University. Under the guidance of artist and Nepenthe Gallery Associate Lori Welch Brown, they worked together using many different mediums and materials. They designed our original Hollin Hall Shopping Center and other Alexandria landmarks. Come over anytime the rest of this year to enjoy the timeless delight of a miniature train chugging along a fantastical landscape.
