We’re excited to feature members of the Alexandria Arts Alliance at our *New Year, New Alliance* event on January 28th from 6-8pm at the Mark Center Hilton of Alexandria! Our goal is to showcase the incredible diversity of talent within our organization and encourage support among members. By highlighting the unique work of our performers and visual artists, we hope to increase visibility and foster connections both within the Alliance and with community supporters. If you are interested in being included, please see the restrictions below before submitting!
For performers, we ask that the size of your group be limited to no more than 4 people for a single piece. Each performance will be allotted 2-3 minutes to ensure we have time for a variety of acts. We also request that your performance be suitable for a small space, as the venue cannot accommodate large equipment setups. If instruments are involved, they should be ones that can be played without amplification or electricity.
For visual artists, we intend to set up a display of all the submitted pieces. We are looking for one piece from each artist, chosen as your favorite work. The focus is on sharing your artistic talent, rather than for selling purposes, and providing a platform for other members to appreciate and support your work. We are limiting the sizes of the piece to be no larger than 24 x 36”.
Please note that due to space limitations, we are unable to guarantee that each submission will be included in the event and so all submissions will be considered by the current Alliance Board members before accepting.
